Let us get started…
The News:
On the iPhone, Apple includes the Rotate Lock feature, which locks the screen’s orientation so that it does not change as you move the device
Rotation Lock is typically activated or deactivated by calling Control Center and then pressing the Lock Orientation button, but you can turn it off and on much more quickly without touching your iPhone’s screen.
The method is based on back tapping, which is an easily accessible feature. It allows you to specify which action should be performed when you double-tap the back of your iPhone.
The Rotation Lock is one of the actions that Apple lets you assign to Back Tap. After you’ve configured it, there’s a good chance you won’t need the button in Control Center again.
To activate Rotation Lock, triple-tap or double-tap the iPhone’s bottom. Follow the steps outlined below. Please keep in mind that the Back Tap requires an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 14 or later.
- On your iPhone, launch the Settings app.
- Select Accessibility.
- Click “Touch” under “Physical and Motor.”
- Scroll down, then press the back button.
- To initiate an action, simply click, double tap, or triple tap.
- Select the lock rotation option from the drop-down menu.
When you assign an action to the Back Tap using the steps outlined above, the back tap is now ready for use, and you can test it.
The iPhone’s back button can be configured to perform a variety of functions. It can be used to provide quick access to something by launching a specific application, such as Control Center. It is possible to configure the Back Tap to open the Camera or create a shortcut.
What is the control center?
Control Center (or Control Center in most countries) is a feature of Apple Inc.’s iOS operating system that was introduced in iOS 7, which was released on September 18th, 2013. Swiping upwards at the bottom of the screen (or downwards to the right of the screen on iPhone X and newer, and on all iPad models running iOS 12) gives iOS gadgets access to important device settings (or iPadOS).
It’s similar to the SBSettings tweak for iOS jailbreaking. Control Center Control Center was also added to Macs in the macOS Big Sur release on November 12th, 2020.
The Control Center gives iOS users quick access to the most frequently used controls and applications.
Users can switch to Airplane Mode, turn off or on Wi-Fi, adjust the brightness of their display, and perform other basic device functions by tapping up on any screen, including the lock screen (if the control center is configured to be accessible via the screen lock).
